Mrs. Tom Cuffe, cook at the grade school, was quite severely burned about the chest and neck when the pressure cooker that she was cooking prunes in exploded, Feb. 18, at the grade school kitchen. Mrs. Phil Potter and children have returned to Eureka where they will make their home. Mrs. Potter is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Pomeroy. Mrs. Jack . Alav&na traveled to Naples, Idaho, Wednesday, Feb. 26 to take care of her grandchildren while Mrs. Cliff Voorhees attended the tourna ment in Kalispell. Mrs. Angus McCrae has received word that her son, Carl Johnson, is in the hospital at the Navy base in San Deigo, California, where he is recovering fr«m an appendicitis operation. Reverend and Mrs. A. G. Pullman are the parents of an 8 pound baby girl born March 2 at the Olson Mater nity home. They have named their daughter Shirley Doris. March 2, to make their home in Libby, Montana. Jack Alavana travel ed to Naples, Idaho, Friday, Feb. 28 and stayed at the Voorhees home. Jack and Cliff returned to Eureka Sunday, March 2. Cliff returned on the train with his wife Sunday. 19 dogs have been poisened ’ by wieners and hamburgers lately. The people haven't be en found as yet. Annuals for !the years 195*+? 1955? 1956 and 1958 are being sold in LCHS now for $2. A St. ‘Patrick's dance will be given on March 15 at the Eureka Community Hall by the Cowbells. Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Kautzman went to Mis soula, March b where they will help Mr. and Mrs. James Slater move to a different loca tion in Missoula. They went to Butte on business. They wiH return March l-5» Mr. and Mrs. Winnie Pluid took their daughter, Sally,to the Whitefish Memorial hospital Feb. 25? f°r an appendectomy. The next Border U--H Club meeting will be held on March 10 at the home of Butts. Wallace Mrs. Anne Ambrose spent the weekend in Kalispell visiting her sister-in-laws, the Misses Winnie Ambrose and Annie Murphy.While theee she attended the Shrine convention, where her daughter Willene, aang with the M.S.U. Jubileers. Margaret McDonald spent the weekend at her father's home at Elko B.C. and return ed to Eureka Sunday afternoon. Morman Livesay and family motored to Harding, South Dakota, Monday, Feb. 17 t® attend the funeral of Mrs. Livesay's father, Mr. Ledger. They re turned to . Fortine, Sunday, Feb. 23. While fishing in the Kootenai River, Tues day, Feb. 27, Bill DeShazer caught a bull trout. The fish was 2b inches long and weighted 7 pounds 10 ounces. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Titchbourne, Raymond Cope, Patsy Lamey, Lavonne Ivers and Mike Ivers motored to Kal ispell Saturday night, March 1 to attend the final games of the tournament.
